Blaire Harper| Central Florida Newborn Photographer

Sometimes in this business, we hit what’s known as the “sweet spot.”  It’s a moment where everything aligns perfectly.  Where as a photographer things go in your favor.  Lucky for me, Blaire and I hit that moment.  Everything lined up.  I had a sleepy 5 day old baby, beautiful lighting and a family who trusted my ability as a photographer.

I’ve learned that with newborn sessions planning is key.  I’ve also grown over the past year as a photographer realizing that it doesn’t always go the way I planned.  Sometimes it does and with Blaire it did!   Blaire was so much fun to work with.  She let me capture exactly what I was looking to create and I’m so thankful to have had the opportunity to photograph her.  Her parents are some of my closest friends from college and I’m pleased to be able to provide them with something they will treasure for the rest of their lives.  I’m looking forward to watching Blaire grow up and am excited to photograph her again in a couple of months.

I’m proud to share these images as my 100th blog post.  Thanks to my assistants G’ma  Kelly, Auntie J and McD.  It was nice to have a few extra hands around.  Brian and Melissa, maybe I’m a little biased because we’ve been friends so long and this is the first girl in the group, but you’re right – Blaire is perfect and absolutely beautiful!  Congratulations and I hope you love the photos.  XO – J

Cameron & Carson| Central Florida Children Photographer

How do I begin?  Let me start by saying this session with Cameron and Carson was totally (110%) out of the norm for me.  I pulled up to the location for our session and was greeted by someone who said, “You must be the photographer.”  I kept thinking, did I look that much out of place?  Immediately after I answered, “Yup that’s me,”  I was ushered in, to sign a waiver of liability.  Again, out of the norm for my typical children and family sessions (LOL)!  BUT this was not a typical family session.  This was ridiculously fun and somewhat dangerous!

Cameron is 12 and his brother Carson is 10.  I worked with this family a few months ago (for a regular family session) and the dad asked if I’d be interested in joining them again for something with just the boys.   I immediately jumped at the opportunity to try something different.  In fact, this was my first time photographing a sport.  The good news is that I’m somewhat of a speed junkie so I throughly enjoyed every moment of this session.

Cameron and Carson have been involved in Motocross for years and could probably kick my behind on the track any day of the week.  They are both awesome riders and I was extremely impressed with their talent at such a young age.  It was fun being on the track and watching the boys and I enjoyed capturing the bond between Rick and his two guys.  With this being my first time photographing Motocross, I hope I was able to capture some of what Rick was looking for!  I definitely enjoyed myself and look forward to hopefully joining them again in the future – J

The guys are sponsored by Jeremiah’s Italian Ice….Yum!!

First up for the day was 10 year old, Carson.  I have a feeling Carson is the firecracker in this family.  I knew this after our first session, so it was fun seeing him in his element and totally serious when it came down to riding.

Next up is 12 year old Cameron.  My favorite conversation of the day occured when I asked Cameron why he liked Motocross.  It was a simple response, but was enough for me.  He said, “because I’m really good at it.”  Not gonna lie, I totally agree with him!

As a reminder, don’t forget to book your 2011 Holiday Session.  Mid-November and December will be limited to Maternity and Newborn sessions this year so book early.

MacKayla| Central Florida Newborn Photographer

It’s been several weeks since my last post and I’m happy to say I took some much-needed time off.

Once, I decided to get back in the swing of things, I headed out toward  Ocoee to work with Miss MacKayla for her newborn session.  I can’t explain how much I enjoyed working with this mom and dad.  They are two of the most dedicated parents I’ve ever met.  Justin and Amie have a gift for soothing their daughter and the love shared between the three of them was ever so apparent.

Miss MacKayla was alert and ready for her session.  If she had it her way, she would have been wide awake for the entire session but mom and dad managed to put her to sleep so we could capture some beautiful sleepy moments in between the awake ones.  I hope to work with this family again the future and look forward to seeing MacKayla as she grows up.  Hugs, J

I hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day Weekend as much as I did!  As a side note, don’t forget to book your Holiday Sessions.  I’m already starting to fill up and am excited to be offering Mini Sessions this year, email me for more details and “Like” Jenny Peppers Photography on Facebook!
