I really enjoyed this session more than I can explain in words. Em and her mom met me at Jacksonville Beach for a special session devoted mainly to this beautiful little girl. I was quick to find out that this 20 month old has such a wonderful personality! We got a little wet, ate some sand, and had plenty of time to talk about all of the noises elephants, doggies and other animals make. Catching up with this momma and her parents was a nice way to spend my morning and I hope to have the opportunity see more of these two in the future. Thank you for asking me to photograph your beautiful daughter. XO – J

Love happens and sometimes it’s in the most unexpected places, when you’re least expecting it. That’s the story with this couple. She was enjoying being an independent woman and he was heading out with a co-worker for happy hour. I’ve heard Kevin tell the story before, but had never heard Kari’s side until this past Tuesday. After hearing both sides, I’m going to vote and break the tie – Kari initiated it….
I was so glad when this couple contacted me. Kevin has been a long time friend and when I found out that he proposed to Kari in Napa I was overwhelmed with excitement. She is such a sweet girl and Kevin is a true gentleman. We decided it would be ideal to recreate their trip to Napa during the engagement session. This took us an entire day, 3 locations and over 200 miles. It was full of love, wine and a little excitement. I’m quite positive that this was one of my favorite sessions to date and I look forward to seeing them again in May 2011 for their wedding. Congratulations to the both of you and thank you asking me to do these for you, I really enjoyed it! XO – J
I can’t help but enjoy working with this family! I’ve known the dad for years….literally I think we are going on 10 of them. He got me my first job out of college and his wife…she is one of the sweetest and most genuinely beautiful ladies I know! Which in turn means they have the cutest, funniest and most awesome 5-year-old little girl!! Julia has such a great personality and makes me laugh constantly while im with her. Typically it’s my responsiblity to come up with ideas during a session and make the kids laugh, but not when Julia is around.
This session was so much fun and the orange grove location was just perfect. J & A, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Congratulations on celebrating an anniversary recently and all the other exciting things happening in your lives. I can’t wait until next time we see each other and Happy early Thanksgiving!! – J
P.S. I’ll be enjoying my Thanksgiving tomorrow but visit on Friday for a beautiful engagement session!
Sorry about the title, I couldn’t resist!
I’ve been photographing this family for about a year now, wow time flies. Little L was one of my first “successful” infant sessions check it out here. His newborn announcement is in my office, right above my computer, to remind me that babies do sleep. He has grown up so much over the past 9 months and I look forward to the next time I see him. I’m hoping its okay to announce that I’m super excited because this momma is expecting again next year!
Congratulations P & J if the new one is anywhere as cute as little L, you guys are going to be two lucky parents! Can’t wait to see you again and I better get a call, text or email when you know the gender. I hope you enjoy the first few – J
This family was so sweet! Ava and “Baby Jack,” as Ava introduced him, were cool, calm and relaxed which made for a laid back session. Ava kept occupied by gathering acorns and we captured “Baby Jack’s” attention by using three little letters….BOO! This was my first time working with this family and I learned a huge lesson….if you take a 3-year-old to a carnival, plan to have cash (I know this should not have been a lesson, but cut me some slack it was a busy weekend)! Thank you to mom and dad who went right along with the plan, it was much appreciated! I hope to see you guys again in the future, it was a pleasure working with you! – J
I love working with this family! There is nothing better than a momma who prepares for a session…I mean…really prepares! I showed up at their house to find two duffel bags packed, a diaper bag, plenty of coordinated outfits and of course an entertaining Aunt ready to help me out.
I’ve never talked about “Aunt Mishy” in my past posts, but today she deserves some recognition! She helps out “behind the scenes” and on my end it is always much appreciated!! I’ve been photographing E, B and Jake for almost a year and my sessions with them are always so much fun. Today did not disappoint and I truly had a hard time picking my favorites for this post; Jake is growing up so fast and is just adorable! Enjoy guys – J
P.S. Make sure to subscribe, I have a lot of sessions this week and plan to post every day up to Thanksgiving! Make sure to swing back by and see all the cuties!
Lilly is sweet as can be and pretty like a princess. Yesterday, she greeted me at the door for her 3rd birthday party and was as adorable as ever. I don’t think her mom and dad could have picked a more appropriate theme for her birthday celebration! Little Lilly had the perfect princess themed party and celebrated with family and lots of friends! Her momma put together a fabulous party and didn’t skip any details. Check it out below – J
P.S. It was good to see you guys again and thanks for letting me join you all!
