Monthly Archives: September 2010

That’s right, September 23rd marks my one year anniversary as a blogger and I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone by!!  One year later and I can still recall the day I decided to set up a blog; feels like it was yesterday.  I sent the link to my dad and the rest of the story became history.  Blogging has become one of my favorite things to do immediately following a session.  I think it’s because I know how impatient I am, so I just assume all of my clients are the same way.

When I decided to do this post, I thought it would be fun to compile 12 of my favorite photos.  Whew, I didn’t realize how hard this task would be until I started looking through all of my past sessions!  I’ve been asked in the past, what my favorite session has been and the truth is, its hard to answer.  Mainly because I walk away from each one with a new ‘favorite’ photo!  I’ve done my best to compile my absolute favorites and I hope you enjoy my walk down memory lane.

I’ve blogged before about how change is coming to my business, so hang in there with me and in the near future you’ll find a new name, new blog, my logo, and much more!!  Please continue to spread the word to your friends, family and co-workers.  I owe this past year to everyone who posted their pictures on Facebook and attached my link and to everyone who has trusted my artistic ability. I really can’t thank you enough it has been a pleasure working with you! More than anything I look forward to seeing you again in the future!  One down….many more to go.  Thanks for supporting me along the way – J

It’s about the simple things in life

The simple things like cookies, Dora the Explorer and really big empty boxes.  Children never cease to amaze me, it’s what I love about this job!  Whether I’m jumping around like a goof ball or putting silly hats on my head it never fails that simple things like a cookie or a dad throwing his daughter into the air will always result in a pure and joyful smile!  Little Alexis was a pleasure to photograph today and I hope that I have the opportunity to work with her again.  D & K, congratulations on the next little of bundle of joy whom is expected to arrive in January. I’m sure he is going to be a cutie just like his big sister!  Thank you for allowing me to join you guys today.
XO – J
P.S. My favorite picture from today is not the perfect one, but the one that captured the moment as it really was; Alexis hanging out on the kitchen counter enjoying her cookie with mom!
